Acupuncture

A Wall Street Journal article discusses the use of modern technology to measure the affects of acupuncture. Neuroimaging show acupuncture decreases activity in the limbic system (emotional part of the brain),  and heightens activity in the parts of the brain that regulate sensation and fear. Through ultrasound, acupuncture is seen to stimulate blood flow and tissue repair.
